MACON, Ga. -Â The Mercer women's lacrosse team welcomes Gardner-Webb to Macon on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the eighth all-time meeting between Mercer and Gardner-Webb. Mercer has won all seven previous meetings, including a 24-5 win last year at Gardner-Webb.
LAST TIME OUT
Kayla Soltys and Sami Lowinger combined to score eight of Mercer's 13 goals as the Bears defeated High Point, 13-10 last Saturday afternoon in High Point, North Carolina.
Shots in the game were 31-30 in favor of the Bears. The draw controls were also close with Mercer holding a 14-13 edge.
Soltys and Lowinger each had four goals on the day to lead Mercer. Maddi Koury had a six-point game with one goal and five assists. Abby Morrison led Mercer with six draw controls.
SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
Gardner-Webb enters Wednesday's game looking for its first win of the season. The Bulldogs are 0-11 overall and 0-2 in Big South play.
The Runnin' Bulldogs average just 7.2 goals per game and are allowing nearly 20 goals per game at 19.5 goals against per game. Ten of Gardner-Webb's 11 opponents have scored at least 15 goals against them this season.
Gardner-Webb is led offensively by senior attacker Aimie Perino who has a team high 17 goals. The Runnin' Bulldogs have started three different goalies throughout the course of the season. Emma Anderrson has seen the most time in goal as she has made seven starts and owns a 19.03 goals against average and .415 save percentage.
