Beach Volleyball Primed For Sun Belt Tournament

MACON – After a season that saw the Bears post their best win total in program history, beach volleyball is primed for the Sun Belt Championship.

The Bears earned the field's fifth-seed with a 2-4 league mark and a 16-17 overall scorecard. They'll face fourth-seed College of Charleston on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. ET. The winner will face either top-seed Georgia State or eighth-seed Stephen F. Austin at 4:00 p.m. ET, with the loser dropping into the consolation match at 10:00 a.m. ET Friday.

Mercer faced the Cougars at the North Florida Invite earlier this year, with the Bears coming out on top 4-1. The team's most success has come from the No. 4 spot, with Liv Diaz and Kathryn Corbett heading into the tournament with a 16-6 overall record, tying Reese Hood and Lexi Polychrones for the most wins on the team.

All matches will be aired on ESPN+.
