
Emilia Cosatto And Mariella Minetti Named Academic All-District

MACON, Ga. -Â Mercer women's tennis players Emilia Cosatto and Mariella Minetti were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
CSC honors and celebrates student-athletes who represent the highest caliber of academic and athletic achievement through the annual Academic All-District and Academic All-America programs.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores and hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 GPA scale. No student-athlete is eligible until they are at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Â

Junior | Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico

Emilia Cosatto was in the lineup for all 22 matches for the Bears this season. She went 11-9 in singles with two unfinished matches. Cosatto had the best singles record for the Bears in SoCon matches at 5-2. In doubles she played all 22 matches with Lea Falentin where the duo went 9-11 on the season and 3-4 in conference matches.
Mariella Minetti

Just like Cosatto, Mariella Minetti was in the lineup for all 22 matches for the Bears this season. She went 13-9 in singles matches on the season and was 4-3 against SoCon opponents. She closed the season by winning three of her final four conference matches including the SoCon Tournament. In doubles, Minetti played primarily with freshman Tea Zivic and together became great doubles partners as they finished the season 14-4 paired together which was the best doubles record by any Mercer pairing on the season.
