
Women's Lacrosse Signs Transfer Sofia D'Angelo

MACON, Ga. - Mercer women's lacrosse head coach Sam Eustace has announced the addition of Loyola transfer Sofia D'Angelo to the Mercer program.
D'Angelo is a junior transfer from Vienna, Virginia. She appeared in 15 games in two seasons for a nationally ranked Loyola program.
As a freshman, D'Angelo played in eight games and scored her first career goal in her collegiate debut at Lehigh and then scored her second goal of the season at Boston University. She saw game action in Loyola's NCAA Quarterfinal game at No. 1 Northwestern. D'Angelo finished her freshman season with two goals and two assists.
Last season as a sophomore, D'Angelo played in seven games. She scored three goals and had two ground balls.
D'Angelo attended Flint Hill School from her Freshman through Junior year, before attending Saint Stephens St. Anges School her senior year. She received All-Conference and All-State honors in 2019. She tallied 131 goals and 47 assists in her high school career, despite missing most of her Junior season due to injury, and all of her senior season due to injury.
