Bears To Battle With Davidson On Tuesday

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's match marks the second meeting between the Bears and Wildcats. The first matchup came in 2021, with then-22^nd ranked Davidson taking a 2-1 victory in Macon.

LAST TIME OUT
Friday's match against Kansas City was a wild one, ending in a 3-3 draw. Mercer's three goals marked the Bears' highest scoring output of the season, but Kansas City was able to net the equalizer in the 89^th minute to secure a draw.

The match started with a bang, as Mercer grabbed the lead on a goal just 30 seconds in. The goal was scored by Kadeem Agard, his first of the season, and was assisted on a cross from Tommy Redd.

As would be the case for the rest of the night's back-and-forth affair, Kansas City responded in the 27^th minute with a goal of their own, scored by Luke Hoelting. The goal snapped Mercer's shutout streak at five matches and was the first goal conceded by the Bears in 511 minutes of play.

After going into the half at a score of 1-1, the Roos took the lead in the 51^st minute on a goal by Elie Kisoka. However, Mercer would answer right back, as Ehi Aimiuwu scored his first goal of the season on a breakaway less than a minute later.

The Bears took the lead back in the 83^rd minute when Barzee Blama converted his second goal of the season on a cross from Natnael McDonald. Six minutes later, however, Kansas City's Brevyn Cole would deliver the equalizer to end the game in a 3-3 draw.

SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Davidson enters Tuesday's match with a 0-2-4 record on the year. The Wildcats' last time out came on Saturday, a 3-0 home loss to UNC Asheville. The Bears are Davidson's third SoCon opponent of the season, as they had previously tied with both UNC Greensboro and Furman.

Davidson has struggled offensively to this point in the season, scoring three goals in their first six contests. They have been stout defensively, however, holding a 1.50 goals allowed average for the campaign. Lucas Beltran has started five games at goalkeeper for the Wildcats, while Jack Burden has started one.
