MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer team is on the road to take on Chattanooga Thursday night in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. from Finley Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Thursday's game will be the 17th all-time meeting between the two teams. Chattanooga leads the series 8-6-2. The two teams played twice last season. Mercer defeated the Mocs in the regular season, 2-0 in Macon. The two teams then met in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals in Cullowhee, N.C. where the Mocs won 3-2 in overtime.
LAST TIME OUT
Payton Nutzman scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season, but ETSU scored a late equalizing goal as Mercer and ETSU finished in a 1-1 draw Friday night from Betts Stadium.
The Bears snapped ETSU's 6-game win streak although the Bucs remain unbeaten in their last eight games.
SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
Chattanooga is 7-3-2 on the season and is 1-1-1 in conference play. The Mocs were picked to finish fifth in the Preseason SoCon Coaches Poll.
Chattanooga has been perfect at home this season with a 6-0-0 record. In those six home games, they are outscoring their opponents 20-5.
The Mocs are coming off a 2-2 draw at UNCG last Friday. Chattanooga has scored 25 goals and allowed 14 in its 12 games this season.
Offensively, the Mocs are led by Caroline Richvalsky and Paige Thomas who each have six goals on the season. The duo ranks third and tied for fourth in the SoCon in points as Richvalsky has 16 points and Thomas has 14 points.
The expected starting goalie for the Mocs is Caroline Ekern who is the only goalkeeper to appear in a game this season for Chattanooga. She owns a 1.17 goals against average and a .714 saves percentage.
