Scheck Named SoCon Women's Golfer Of The Week For Second Straight Week

MACON, Ga. - Mercer women's golfer Katie Scheck was named the SoCon Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 1-7 as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
It is the second consecutive week that Scheck was named the SoCon Women's Golfer of the Week.
Scheck and the Bears competed in the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate in Knoxville, Tennessee this week where Scheck finished tied for ninth among the 78 golfers competing at 2-under, 211 for the tournament. It was Scheck's best finish this season and third top 15 finish of the year. Scheck carded rounds of 70 (-1), 72 (+1), and 69 (-2). On Tuesday's final round, she made an eagle on the par 4, third. She was one of just six golfers in the field to record an eagle in the tournament.
Up next for Scheck and the Bears is The Ally from West Point, Mississippi on Oct. 20-22.
