MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team is set to play host to Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Feb. 19. First draw is set for 1 p.m. from Five Star Stadium

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be just the third all-time meeting between Mercer and Vanderbilt. The Commodores have won each of the first two meetings both in Nashville. In 2021, Vanderbilt won 15-10 and last season the Commodores defeated the Bears, 13-9.
LAST TIME OUT
Caroline Glus led Mercer with two goals, but the Mercer women's lacrosse team came up short on the road to Virginia Tech, 11-7 last Saturday in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Mercer outshot the Virginia Tech 28-26, but the Hokies did a better job of putting their shots on goal and scoring on those shots as Virginia Tech held a 19-16 edge in shots on goal.
SCOUTING VANDERBILT
Vanderbilt is 1-2 so far on the season. The Commodores started the year with a strong 13-8 win at Cincinnati. Since then, Vanderbilt has lost to No. 18 Clemson, 20-12 and to No. 23 Denver, 17-8.
In the 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll, Vanderbilt was picked to finish second in the 7-team American Athletic Conference (AAC) behind only nationally ranked James Madison. Vanderbilt went 9-8 last season and 3-3 in the AAC.
Through the first three games of the season, Vanderbilt is scoring 12.5 goals per game and allowing 14.0 goals per game. The Commodores worst quarter defensively so far has been the first quarter as they have allowed more goals in the first quarter (11) than in any other quarter this season. Where as, their best quarter offensively and defensively has been the fourth quarter where they've been outscoring opponents by a combined 8-2 this season.
The Commodores are winning 45.0 percent of their draw controls led by draw specialist Maddie Barkate with 13 draw controls.
Vanderbilt's leading goal scorer is attacker Jamie Biskup who has six goals through three games. The expected starter in goal for Vanderbilt is Molly Joyce who has a 14.04 goals against average and a 36.4 save percentage.
