
Mercer In Fifth Place After Two Rounds At Reynolds Lake Oconee

Mikayla Dubnik sits in 11th place heading into the final round on Sunday
GREENSBORO, Ga. - After two rounds at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational from The National Golf Course in Greensboro, Georgia, the Mercer women's golf team is in fifth place in the 15-team field.
As a team, the Bears carded a second round of 18-over, 306, and have a total score of 31-over, 607. The No. 26 ranked Florida Gators lead the field after 36-holes at 19-over, 595.
The National Golf Course proved to be a tough test once again, in addition to the cool weather conditions as only two golfers carded a second round below par.
Three Mercer players carded second rounds of 3-over, 75 for the lowest rounds of the day by a Mercer golfer. Mikayla Dubnik is in a tie for 11th place at 6-over par. She is five shots back of the leader from Western Kentucky, Catie Craig who is at 1-over par for the tournament.
The Bears continued to be one of the better performing teams on the par 3's as they are 6-over par on them which is tied for the best score for the tournament. Mercer also leads the field in pars with 120, eight more than the next closest teams in Florida and East Carolina.
The final round begins Sunday at 10:30 a.m. via a shotgun start.
