MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team heads to Boiling Springs, North Carolina to take on Gardner-Webb Wednesday evening. First draw is set for 4 p.m. from Spangler Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's game will be the ninth all-time meeting between Mercer and Gardner-Webb. Mercer has won all eight of the meetings to date. Last year, the Bears defeated the Runnin' Bulldogs, 25-3 in Macon.
LAST TIME OUT
Sofia D'Angelo had a career high six points to lead Mercer to a resounding 22-8 win over Wofford in the Big South opener for both teams on last Saturday from Five Star Stadium.
The win was the 100th career win for Mercer head coach Samantha Eustace. Coach Eustace who is in her 10th year leading the Bears is now 100-68 as head coach with Mercer.
SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
Gardner-Webb is 1-9 on the season. After starting the season 0-9, the Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a 14-12 win over Longwood to move to 1-1 in conference play.
Gardner-Webb was picked to finish last in the Big South Preseason Coaches Poll.
This season, Gardner-Webb is averaging just 5.8 goals per game which ranks last in the Big South. The Runnin' Bulldogs are allowing 15.6 goals per game. Gardner-Webb struggles in the draw circle as they are winning just 35.4 percent of draws.
Gardner-Webb is led offensively by junior midfielder Emma Duchscherer who has 17 goals and three assists on the season. Only two other players have at least 10 points on the season.
The expected starting goalie for the Runnin' Bulldogs is Emma Anderson who owns a 16.2 goals against average with a 38.1 save percentage.
