Track & Field Team Heads To Troy For Doc Anderson Invitational

MACON – The Mercer track & field team will resume its 2025 regular season schedule this weekend when the Bears pack up their show and migrate to central Alabama for the Troy-hosted Doc Anderson Multi & Invitational.

The Bears are fresh off of a solid outing at the UAB Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Birmingham, Ala. The Orange & Black tallied eight top-10 finishes across the two-day event at the UAB Track & Field Complex, including sixth and seventh place finishes, respectively, by the 4x400m and 4x100m Relay squads. Newcomer Naomi Pierce highlighted the weekend with a third place finish in the Long Jump.

Mercer has entries in eight events at the Troy-hosted event this weekend, beginning with the Long Jump on Friday at 4 p.m. Saturday's action for the Bears begins at 1 p.m. with competition in the Triply Jump.
