MACON, Ga. – Payton Nutzman scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season, but ETSU scored a late equalizing goal as Mercer and ETSU finished in a 1-1 draw Friday night from Betts Stadium.
The Bears snapped ETSU's 6-game win streak although the Bucs remain unbeaten in their last eight games.

In the first half, neither team could generate many scoring chances going forward as each team had just three shots in the opening 45 minutes.
In the 49th minute, Nutzman took a corner kick that beat the ETSU goalie near post for the olimpico and Nutzman's team-leading seventh goal of the season.
The Bears continued to play well defensively, protecting a one-goal lead. Although in the 88th minute ETSU's Caroline Wawak received a pass from 10 yards outside the box on the right wing. She took a shot that tipped Mercer goalie Lindsay Bell's outstretched hand and went under the crossbar to tie the game at one and help the Buccaneers earn a point on the road.
