Mercer, which returns five of its six starters in the singles lineup, as well as a pair of intact doubles squads, put together a banner fall campaign that included 34 singles victories, as well as 23 more on the doubles courts. Senior all-conference standout Hod'Abalo Isak Padio logged a team-best nine singles wins, including a quartet of triumphs at Auburn's Battle On The Plains, and will carry the torch into the Florida panhandle this weekend for the Bears.
Â
Prince Gandonou and newcomer Alex Aldaz combined for an MU-best seven doubles wins during the fall, including a 3-1 tally at the Mercer Gridiron Classic in early October.
Â
The Seminoles returned a heap of talent as well, including senior Corey Craig who posted a 9-5 record at the No. 1 singles position last spring. German Erik Schiessl returns as 50 percent of a tandem that registered a 13-3 mark at No. 2 doubles in 2024-25.
Â
Florida State has taken all six previous dual meetings with the Bears in a series that dates back to the 2008-09 season.
