MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team prepares for game number two in Big South play on Wednesday as the Presbyterian Blue Hose make the trip down to Macon for a 4 p.m. start.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the 9th all-time meeting between Mercer and Presbyterian. Mercer leads the all-time series, 7-1 with the Bears having won seven straight games entering Wednesday's meeting. Mercer defeated Presbyterian last year in Clinton, South Carolina, 21-4.
LAST TIME OUT
Mackenzie Ward made nine saves in goal to lead the Mercer women's lacrosse team to a win in its Big South opener, 10-6 over High Point, Saturday afternoon from Vert Stadium in High Point, North Carolina.
Behind its goalie and defense, the Mercer Bears held High Point to its second fewest goals in a game all season (6) and second fewest shots in a game as well (18).
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
Presbyterian enters Wednesay's game with a 3-7 overall record and 0-1 record in Big South play. The Blue Hose are coming off a 15-7 loss at home to Furman last week.
Presbyterian is just 1-3 on the road this season. Their lone win on the road was against Delaware State.
Presbyterian ranks fifth in the Big South in goals per game at 10.7 per game. Defensively, Presbyterian has faired better, they are allowing just 12 goals per game which is tied for the best mark in the Big South. The Blue Hose are averaging just 8.0 caused turnovers per game and winning an average of 8.3 draw controls per game which ranks seventh in the conference.
Sophomore attacker Kate Dominick leads the Blue Hose offensively with 30 points (16G, 14A). Attackers Emily Currie and Alyssa Perez are tied for the team lead with 22 goals a piece.
Senior goalie Kayleigh Aitken has started eight of the 10 games in goal for Presbyterian. She owns a .387 save percentage and a 12.3 goals against average.
