MACON, Ga. - The Mercer men's lacrosse team welcomes Bellarmine to Five Star Stadium on Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. for Alumni Weekend.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 17th meeting between these to squads dating back to the first match up in 2011. Bellarmine holds the overall record 13-3 with Mercer's most recent win in 2023 when they defeated the Knights 15-12 in Louisville, Ky. The most recent meeting saw Bellarmine take a close 17-14 win over Mercer last season on their home turf on Saturday, April 12.

The Bears are coming off of an offensive clinic against Utah at Five Star Stadium last weekend when the Bears fell to the Utes 24-14 in the second Atlantic Sun conference match up of the season.Â
Eight different Bears found the back of the net for Mercer, including a hat trick from senior midfielder Jack Sullivan. Dillon Bush, Ben Jose, Nick Church and Will Zylstra each contributed a pair of goals to the Mercer offense, respectively. For the first time in his career, junior midfielder Bennett Junod found the back of the net while Ganon Cope and Jonathon Benerofe each added a goal of their own. Michael Frederick tabbed four assists and three ground balls while Jacob Neuman and Jack Guido combined for 24 saves against the Utes.

The Knights are led by Andrew Whitley who enters his seventh season at the helm for Bellarmine. The Knights finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 8-9 and went 2-3 in the ASUN, falling to Utah 18-11 in the 2025 ASUN Tournament Semifinals.
The Knights currently sit with a record of 4-9 with wins over Mercyhurst, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy and St. Bonaventure. Bellarmine most recently went into overtime with Air Force last weekend falling 12-13 to the Falcons in Louisville.
