CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore Arielle Livingston logged a personal-best time of 14.01 seconds on the way to a ninth place showing in the 100m Hurdles, while the 4x100m Relay squad finished seventh with another solid performance, to highlight action for the Mercer track & field team at the Charlotte Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Livingston bested 21 other competitors in the 100m Hurdles while outdoing her previous personal best mark by 0.10 seconds as well. The 4x100m Relay squad was just 0.06 seconds off of their season-best time turned in at the South Florida Invitational earlier this month.

Jayla Simmons tallied a personal-best time of 12.13 seconds as MU's top finisher (11^th) in the 100m Dash, while fellow sophomore Akira Brown logged a season-best time in the 200m Dash. Livingston, whose 100m Hurdles performance is the fifth-fastest time among Southern Conference athletes this season, also recorded a personal-best time in the 100m Dash.

The Bears will close the lid on the regular season portion of their 2026 schedule on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, when they trek to Jacksonville, Fla., for the North Florida-hosted East Coast Relays.
