Women's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

MACON, Ga. – Head coach Tony Economopoulos and the 2025-26 women's soccer team were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as 2025-26 Team Academic Award winners.Â
The 2025Â team maintained a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.68Â for the 2025-26 academic year.
A total of 802 soccer teams (338 men, 464 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Of that total, 187 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized. Both Mercer men's and women's soccer programs received the award.
The women's soccer team returns to action on Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m. as they take on Maine in Orono, Maine.
