2016 at MERCER: Made 22 appearances in a junior campaign that included 12 starts and six complete games in the circle... Led the Bears with a career-high 71 strikeouts over 82.2 innings pitched... Posted a 3.81 ERA, ranking 11th in the SoCon... Limited opposing batters to .297 hitting... Tossed six complete games... Struck out a career-high 11 batters in season-opener against St. Bonaventure (Feb. 12)... Held Fordham to three hits while striking out five in shutout win on March 5.
2015 at MERCER: Made 18 appearances during her sophomore season with a career-best 13 starts … Finished 5-6 with a 4.75 ERA … Ranked second on the team with five complete games and 70.2 innings pitched … Struck out 48 batters … Limited opposing players to .274 hitting … Went the distance in the Bears’ season-opening win over IPFW on Feb. 6, giving up just one run on two hits … Held Liberty to just four hits with a season-high nine strikeouts in seven shutout innings on Feb. 21 … Pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of relief in the Bears’ series-clinching win over Chattanooga on Apr. 26.
2014 at MERCER: Made 25 appearances on the mound including 11 starts … Finished the season 5-6 with a 3.21 e.r.a. … Pitched a full game, one-hitter with nine strike-outs at Samford in a 5-1 win (February 9th) … Threw 60 strike-outs and walked 27 against 87 batters on the year … Finished the season with three saves including a 5-4 win against Kennesaw State (May 7th).
High School: Three-year letterwinner in softball under head Coach Jim Leonard at King Philip Regional High School in Norfolk, Mass. where she was an honor student and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Anna helped her team to state championships in both 2010 and 2011, and was voted a team captain her senior year. Anna was also a member of the Rhode Island Thunder Gold, lead by head coach Tom Constantin.
Personal: Born on Jan. 5, 1995 to parents John O’Neill and Abby Block in Boston, Mass. … Has twin brothers, Eli and Zeke.
