Men's Golf

- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Todd Eckstein joined the Mercer men's golf coaching staff as an assistant coach in December 2015. He comes to Mercer from Davidson, where he served as a volunteer assistant during the 2015 fall season.
"I am really looking forward to adding Todd to the role of Assistant Coach," said Kayden. "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the game of golf and I'm very excited to add someone who was an All-American scholar and an All- Conference player. Coming from Davidson, I think Todd will have a good understanding of what it takes to be successful here at Mercer, both in the class room, and on the golf course. He comes from a golf background as well, his Dad (Tim) is the Director of Golf at Furman and his Mom (Sue) played golf at Duke."
Prior to moving to the coaching ranks, Eckstein enjoyed a four-year career on the Wildcats' men's golf team. A 2015 Cleveland Golf/Srixon Academic All-American, Eckstein earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference recognition in 2015, after taking home 2013 Southern Conference All-Tournament honors in 2013. He helped lead Davidson to a pair of team victories during his career, while recording six Top-10 individual finishes.
A former star at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, Eckstein received a bachelor's degree in political science from Davidson in 2015.Â
