Madison Carter was named the Mercer women’s lacrosse assistant coach in August 2020.

Carter was most recently the assistant coach for Integrity Lacrosse Club in Davidson, Md. She was directly in charge of instructing new players of the rules, game strategies, and performance principles. She also coordinated the travel plans to tournaments throughout the east coast.

Prior to her time at Integrity Lacrosse Club, she was a member of the Penn State women's lacrosse team from 2016-2020 under head coach Missy Doherty. In her years at Penn State, she ranked fifth in Penn State history with 197 goals and seventh with 218 points, becoming the 15^th Nittany Lion to reach the 200 mark.

In 2016, she was named the BIG Ten Freshman of the Year, the first for Penn State women's lacrosse. Carter earned IWLCA All-America honors in 2017 and 2018. From 2016-18, Carter was named to the All-BIG Ten Team and to the IWLCA All-Region Team. She was named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list in each of her final three seasons.
