COACH HOFFMAN'S COMMENTS:
"Any win is good. I thought our guys were really excited about playing. With Jordan [Strawberry] being gone with a death in the family, we knew we were going to have to be ready to play a little different and guys were going to have to play a little out of position. I was excited how we passed the ball, how we rebounded the ball and how we got those points in the paint that I knew would be critical. Anytime you play VMI or The Citadel, even though they have different styles, points in the paint are going to be huge to try and win those games and I thought that was the difference in the game."
On bench scoring:
"We knew we were going to try to play a lot of folks and I thought we were a little tired coming into this game, playing Saturday and Monday then Thursday the week before. We went really hard this week; we didn't take a day off. We were trying to work on a couple things and we knew with Jordan [Strawberry] being gone – he has been playing so well – that he was going to be missed."
