
Former Mercer Standout Langston Hall Signs Professional Contract With Greece Basketball Team

PATRAS, Greece— Langston Hall, who starred for Coach Bob Hoffman's Mercer Bears for four seasons, has signed to play professionally with the Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basketball League.

Hall is Mercer's career leader in assists, steals, and three-point goals made. He is the eighth leading scorer in school history with 1,579 career points.

The 6-4 guard from Atlanta, Ga., was a four-year starter from 2010-2014, starting 134 of the 138 games he appeared in. His senior season, 2013-14, he led the Bears to a 27-9 record that included Atlantic Sun Conference regular season and tournament championships and an NCAA Tournament berth that saw Mercer knock off No. 6 ranked Duke. As a senior, Hall averaged a team-best 14.6 points per game, along with 5.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per outing. He was named the A-Sun Player of the Year and was chosen to the NABC Division I All-District 3 first team. Additionally, Hall was presented the Lou Henson Mid-Major Player of the Year Award.

Hall was a first-team all-conference pick in 2011-12, leading the Bears to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament championship where he was named the tournament Most Valuable Player. He earned A-Sun All-Freshman honors in 2011.

Since his time at Mercer, Hall has played internationally with five different teams, most recently with KK Cibona of the A-1 League. Last year he played at Kolossos, appearing in 29 games while averaging 10.6 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per contest. Hall also competed in the NBA Pro Summer League with the Miami Heat in 2014.
