Men’s Soccer Announces Fall ID Camp

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer program and the Mercer Boys Soccer Academy will host the annual Fall ID Camp on Sunday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bear Field, head coach Brad Ruzzo announced Wednesday.

Ruzzo and assistant coaches Emmett Rutkowski and Marcus Aldaba will be the primary instructors along with current players from the 2016 Southern Conference Championship team.

Prospective players from grades 9-12, as well as junior college players, are encouraged to attend. Both field players and goalkeepers will have the opportunity to partake in specialized training sessions and gain excellent experience in a university setting.

The Bears are currently 4-4-3, including a 2-0-1 mark in SoCon action. Mercer is coming off a 0-0 draw at No. 25 Furman on Tuesday night in Greenville, S.C. Mercer is currently tied atop the SoCon leaderboard with ETSU as each team has corralled seven points in conference play. The Bears are led by senior forward Will Bagrou with eight goals and 16 points.
