Bears Host Terriers in SoCon Quarterfinals

MACON, Ga. – Mercer Men's Soccer will play host to the Wofford Terriers in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals, tomorrow at 7 p.m. The contest will be played at Bear Field.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer holds a 10-2-1 all-time record against Wofford heading into tomorrow's tilt. The Bears have bested the Terriers twice this season, outscoring Wofford by a total of 7-2. Last time out, Wofford claimed a 1-0 advantage heading into the locker room after netting a penalty kick in the 18^th minute. The Bears would not fold, scoring four unanswered goals in the second half to cruise to the 4-1 triumph.

Mercer concluded the regular season with a 7-0 rout over VMI on Oct. 28.
The Bears have competed in a SoCon-leading 11 overtime games, holding a 1-6-4 record in extended play.
Will Bagrou leads the team and conference with 11 goals and 25 points, while Leo Toledo Jr. paces the squad and conference in assists with six.

TAMING THE TERRIERS
Wofford enters the match having dropped four of its last five contests. Most recently, the Terriers fell to 2017 SoCon Regular Season Champions, ETSU. The Bucs bested Wofford by the final score of 4-1. The Terriers have yielded 16 goals in the last five games, connecting on nine goals of their own including six against VMI. Lucas Altman is the player to watch for Wofford, leading the team in goals (6) and points (13).
