
Bears Wrap Up SoCon Road Matches At ETSU

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will play its final road match of the Southern Conference season on Saturday when the Bears take on ETSU at 10:30 a.m.

Mercer is 11-5 on the year and has gone 3-1 in SoCon play so far. The Bears are 3-4 on the road this season, including Thursday's win over UNCG.

Katia Stavroulaki is leading the Bears with a 10-3 record in singles play, followed by Katie Sidor with a 11-4 mark, which includes an 11-3 record at flight three. Additionally, Haley Powell is 7-4 for Mercer, Andrea Peteu is 5-2 and Marie Mottet is 7-7. Stavroulaki and Grace Korta lead Mercer in doubles with a 9-5 record at flight one.

ETSU is the defending SoCon Champion and is currently tied for the lead with a 3-0 mark in league play. Marina Espana is a perfect 11-0 at flight two this season, while Ionna Markesini is 8-3 at flight one and Alory Pereira is 7-3 at flight three. In doubles play, Espana and Markesini are 8-3 at flight one and Yi Chi Ma and Pereira are 8-3 at flight two.

Last season, ETSU won 4-3 in the regular season and 4-0 in the SoCon Tournament.
