
Bears To Host Wofford In Season Finale

MACON, Ga. – Mercer is hosting Wofford in the season finale on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bears are looking to finish SoCon play with a 4-3 record before the tournament. A senior day ceremony will take place prior to the start of the match.

Katia Stavroulaki, who is on an eight-match winning streak, is leading the Bears with a 14-3 record in singles play, followed by Katie Sidor with a 13-6 mark, which includes a 13-4 record at flight three. Additionally, Haley Powell is 11-4 for Mercer and Andrea Peteu is 7-4. Stavroulaki and Grace Korta lead Mercer in doubles with an 11-7 record at flight one.

Wofford is an even 11-11 on the year and has gone 1-5 in league matches. The Terriers' lone SoCon win was a 5-2 victory over Western Carolina. Curran Carver, Cassidy Hicks and Lauren Reid all lead Wofford with 3-3 records in singles play in SoCon matches. Carver has a 12-6 record overall, while Hicks is 13-8 and Reid is 12-8. Hicks and Kalli Karas are 3-3 at one doubles in SoCon play.
