MACON, Ga. – The Bears are back at home as the Mercer men's lacrosse team is hosting Jacksonville on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Five Star Stadium.

DOMINATING THE FACEOFF X
The Bears have taken control of the faceoff X this season and currently rank second in the SoCon and 14th nationally with a 57.1 faceoff winning percentage. Kiel Brennan individually ranks second in the league and 17th nationally with a 58.7 winning percentage.

CLOSE CALLS
Seven of Mercer's games this season have been decided by three goals or less. The Bears are 4-3 in those games. Last week, Mercer fell to No. 14 Richmond, 12-9, in the Spiders' smallest margin of victory in SoCon play and the most goals given up by Richmond this season.

SMOOTH CRIMINALS
With 8.50 caused turnovers per game, Mercer ranks second in the SoCon and 11th nationally. Patrick deHueck leads Mercer with 12 caused turnovers, followed by Walker Ensor with 11. deHueck ranks seventh in the league with 1.20 caused turnovers per game.

Mercer is 162-of-188 on clears so far this season, notching an 86.2 clear percentage. The Bears are currently fifth in the SoCon and 45th nationally as six of the league's eight teams rank in the top 50 nationally.

HODOVAL BETWEEN THE PIPES
Bradley Hodoval has spent a majority of the time between the pipes this season. He has made 93 saves and allowed 95 goals for a .495 save percentage and an 10.45 goals-against average. He currently ranks fourth in the league in GAA and fifth in save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Jacksonville holds a 4-2 advantage in the series, but Mercer has won the last two meetings. The Dolphins also lead 2-1 in Macon.

SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
With a 1-3 record in SoCon play and a 1-9 record overall, Jacksonville sits in seventh place in the league standings. The Dolphins first win came last week, a 16-10 decision over VMI.

Will Hendrick leads Jacksonville with 15 goals, while McLean Chicquen has tallied a team-leading 20 points off 13 goals and seven assists. Eric Applegate has dished out a team-high 12 assists and added five goals to total 17 points.

Hunter Forbes is the Dolphins' faceoff specialist and has recorded a 52.6 winning percentage, ranking him fifth in the SoCon.
