DOMINATING THE FACEOFF X
The Bears have taken control of the faceoff X this season and currently rank third in the SoCon and 16th nationally with a 5.51 faceoff winning percentage. Kiel Brennan individually ranks third in the league and 23rd nationally with a 56.0 winning percentage. Will Beecham is fourth in the league and 26th nationally at 54.9 percent.

SMOOTH CRIMINALS
With 8.83 caused turnovers per game, Mercer ranks second in the SoCon and 10th nationally. Patrick deHueck leads Mercer with 18 caused turnovers, followed by Walker Ensor and Jake Sadd with 13 and 12, respectively. deHueck ranks fourth in the SoCon and 23rd nationally with 1.50 caused turnovers per game.

Mercer is 191-of-223 on clears so far this season, notching an 85.7 clear percentage. The Bears are currently fifth in the SoCon and 47th nationally as seven of the league's eight teams rank in the top 60 nationally.

HODOVAL BETWEEN THE PIPES
Bradley Hodoval has spent a majority of the time between the pipes this season. He has made 112 saves and allowed 120 goals for a .483 save percentage and an 10.82 goals-against average. He currently ranks fifth in the league in GAA and sixth in save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer holds a 4-2 advantage in the series with VMI, which includes wins in the last four meetings. The Bears also lead 2-1 in Lexington.

John Daniel leads the Keydets with 33 points off 14 goals and a team-high 19 assists. Wesley Sanders has scored a team-leading 17 goals and added eight assists to rank second on the team with 25 points.

Tristan Capes-Davis and AJ Krstulovic are the Keydets faceoff specialists, with Capes-Davis recording a 41.1 winning percentage off a 76-of-185 record and Krstulovic going 43-of-78 for a 55.1 winning percentage. Capes-Davis is also second on the team with 38 ground balls, behind Kyle Walsh. Walsh leads VMI with 44 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.
