MACON, Ga. – Mercer is on the road once again and will face No. 14 Richmond on Saturday at 1 p.m. as Southern Conference play continues.

DOMINATING THE FACEOFF X
The Bears have taken control of the faceoff X this season and currently lead the SoCon and rank eighth nationally with a 59.2 faceoff winning percentage. After his 19-of-25 performance against High Point, Kiel Brennan's winning percentage improved to 61.8 percent, ranking him seventh nationally and first in the SoCon.

Six of Mercer's games this season have been decided by three goals or less. The Bears are 4-2 in those games.

SMOOTH CRIMINALS
With 8.33 caused turnovers per game, Mercer ranks second in the SoCon and 13th nationally. The Bears' 15 caused turnovers against Detroit Mercy ranks second in the SoCon this season and Mercer holds two of the top five team performances.

Mercer is 144-of-168 on clears so far this season, notching an 85.7 clear percentage. The Bears are currently fifth in the SoCon and 47th nationally as six of the league's eight teams rank in the top 50 nationally.

HODOVAL BETWEEN THE PIPES
Bradley Hodoval has spent a majority of the time between the pipes this season. He has made 80 saves and allowed 83 goals for a .491 save percentage and an 10.26 goals-against average. He currently ranks fourth in the league in GAA and sixth in save percentage.

Richmond holds a 3-1 advantage in the series and has won the last three meetings. The Spiders are also 1-0 in Richmond against the Bears.

Teddy Hatfield leads the Spiders with 24 goals, 17 assists and 41 points. Ryan Lee is second for Richmond with 19 goals, 12 assists and 31 points. Dan Ginestro and JP Forester have also reached double figures in goals this season with 10 each.

Peter Moran is the Spiders' faceoff specialist and he is 110-of-189 thus far for a 58.2 winning percentage, which ranks him third in the SoCon. Moran has also scooped up a team-leading 49 ground balls. Brendan Hynes is second for the Spiders with 46 ground balls.
