MACON, Ga. – Mercer dropped another close match on Saturday, falling to Chattanooga, 4-3.

Chattanooga took a 1-0 lead in the match after winning the doubles point with wins at flights one and two. Katie Sidor started singles play with a 6-3, 6-1 win at flight three to tie the match, 1-1.

Katia Stavroulaki followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win to go up 2-1. The Mocs went back up 3-2 after a pair of wins at flights four and six. Chattanooga clinched the match with a win at flight two and Haley Powell wrapped up play at flight five to move the final score to 4-3.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Katie Sidor started singles play with her 6-3, 6-1 win at flight three for Mercer.

Next up, the Bears are hosting Charleston Southern on Sunday at 10 a.m.
