MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer squad looks to get back on the winning track this weekend, hosting two matches at Bear Field.

The Bears will first take on Georgia State this Friday, Sept. 8 beginning at 7 p.m. Mercer will then play Alabama A&M on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.

The Bears trail the Panthers 9-13-3 in the all-time series history. In their most recent meeting in 2014, Mercer fell to Georgia State 1-0.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
The Bears have never lost to Alabama A&M, holding a 5-0-0 record against the Bulldogs. The two teams last met in 2014 when Mercer defeated Alabama A&M 7-0.

NOTABLES

Last time on the pitch the Bears dropped a hard-fought 2-0 decision at Marquette in the Marquette Invitational.
The Bears opened the season with two straight shutouts, with 1-0 wins over both Troy and Montevallo.
Mercer scored a season high two goals in their match against Loyola Chicago in the Marquette Invitational with Logan Culver netting her first goal of the year and Sarah Adcock scoring her second.
Goalkeeper Jordyn Ebert earned a season high 13 saves protecting the net against Marquette last time out.
Although the Bears have only scored four goals this season, they are averaging 12.3 shots per game.
After their match Sunday, the Bears will travel to Clinton, S.C. to face Presbyterian on Friday, Sept. 15 beginning at 7 p.m.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Georgia State enters Friday's matchup coming off a 1-0 loss at Tennessee Tech this past Sunday. The Panthers have struggled away from home this season, holding a 0-2-1 away record. Georgia State shares one common opponent with the Bears so far this season in Kennesaw State. The Panthers also fell to the Owls at home, in a high-scoring 4-3 decision. Georgia State averages 11.4 shots per game, with 57 total attempts on the season.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Alabama A&M will first host Chattanooga in Huntsville, Ala., Friday night before traveling over to face the Bears on Sunday. The Bulldogs have gotten off to a slow start on the offensive side as they have yet to score a goal this season. The Bulldogs have been outshot 54-6 through their first three games, with 24 total saves.
