Bears Return to Betts Stadium for Showdown with Spartans

Mercer welcomes UNCG to Betts Stadium tomorrow
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Men's Soccer squad will now turn its attention to a familiar foe in UNCG. The Bears and Spartans will square off at 7 p.m. at Betts Stadium in a rematch of the 2017 Southern Conference Championship title match. Mercer enters the weekend with a 10-2-2 overall record (3-0-0 SoCon), while the Spartans are 5-7-2 (1-1-2 SoCon).

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer is 4-8-1 all-time against UNCG heading into the weekend showdown. The Bears finished 0-2-1 against the Spartans last season, dropping both regular-season contests in overtime. Mercer and UNCG met in the SoCon Tournament title game, concluding with a 1-1 draw. The Bears went on to claim the SoCon Championship after besting the Spartans 3-2 in penalty kicks.
