
Bears Open SoCon Schedule with ETSU Friday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears' women's tennis team will return to action, opening Southern Conference play by hosting the ETSU Bucs this Friday, March 16. Play is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

Scouting the Bucs
ETSU enters Friday's matchup on a four-match losing skid, holding a 4-9 overall mark on the year. The Bucs have struggled away from home this season, posting a 1-7 road record. ETSU most recently faced the No. 25 ranked UCF Knights, falling 6-1 on March 7. The Bucs have an experienced squad, with four seniors on the roster. Ricardo Rojas is in his second year as the head coach for ETSU, after spending the previous nine seasons as the men's tennis assistant.
