Mercer Aims to Bounce Back Against UNCG Friday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears' women's tennis team will return home to host a Southern Conference matchup with UNCG this Friday, March 30 at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

Scouting the Spartans
UNCG enters the match on a nine-match losing streak, holding a 3-11 overall record. The Spartans are also in search of their first conference win, with an 0-3 Southern Conference mark on the year. Most Recently on March 28, the Spartans dropped a 6-1 decision to Elon at the UNCG Tennis Courts. Despite the overall team record, Brianna Gomez has been near perfect for the Spartans this season, going 12-1 in singles action. UNCG is led by Head Coach Ale Guerra who is now in her third season at the helm.

The Bears will step away from conference play, traveling to Statesboro, Ga. to face the Georgia Southern Eagles next Wednesday, April 4. Play is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
