No. 5 Mercer Travels to Clash with Host No. 4 Mocs Friday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will begin their 2018 Southern Conference Tournament Championship campaign this Friday, April 20 as they take on the No. 4 seeded Chattanooga Mocs at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. Play is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Scouting the Mocs
Chattanooga enters Friday's matchup finishing the regular season with a 9-7 overall record and 4-3 Southern Conference mark. The Mocs have won three of their last five outings, most recently dropping a 4-3 decision at UNCG last Saturday (4/14/18). In the two team's previous meeting this season, the Mocs topped the Bears, 4-3, in Chattanooga. Emma Van Hee leads the squads in singles wins, as she recorded a 10-3 record in singles play this season. The Mocs are led by head coach Chad Camper who is serving in his second season.

The winner of Friday's match will go on to face the winner of the match between No. 1 Furman and No. 8 UNCG, on Saturday, April 21. Play is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
