The Bears host the Mocs and Bulldogs this Friday and Sunday at Betts Stadium

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer team hosts Chattanooga and Samford this Friday and Sunday in SoCon action. The Bears kick off against the Mocs at 7 p.m. on Friday. They return to action Sunday at 6 p.m. against Samford. Both games will be played at Betts Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer is 3-4-2 all-time against Chattanooga. The last two matches have ended in ties. When hosting Chattanooga, the Bears are 2-1-1. Last year's matchup finished as a 1-1 draw in Chattanooga. Against Samford, Mercer is 2-11-4 all-time. Last year, the Bears and Bulldogs tied 2-2.

NOTABLES

The Bears have scored 27 goals this season. This is the most in the SoCon Conference and tied for 33^rd most in the NCAA.
This weekend's SoCon contests feature thee of the top five goals-against average in the SoCon. Chattanooga leads the SoCon with a GAA of 0.66. Mercer comes in fourth with an average of 1.05 and Samford is fifth with a GAA of 1.19.
Freshman Nicole Icen has tallied a team-high 17 points. The 17 points leads the SoCon. Icen is eight points away from tying for 10^th on for points in a single season for Mercer.
Abigail Zoeller leads the Bears and the SoCon in assists. Zoeller has seven assists this season. For her career at Mercer, Zoeller has 15 assists, which is tenth all-time. She is six assists away from tying with Nancy Fallin for most assists in a career at Mercer.
Mercer's 36 shots in the Gardner-Webb match are the most by the Bears since recording 37 against Alabama A&M on Aug. 31, 2014.

SCOUTING THE MOCS
The Mocs are 7-3-3 on the year and 2-1-1 in league play. Hollie Massey has a team-high five assists. Combined with her two goals, she leads the Mocs in scoring with nine points. Faith Gober and Samantha Shaw have a team-high three goals apiece and Bailey Gale is second in scoring with two goals and four assists for eight points. Osa Iyare has a team-leading two game-winning goals. Five others have one game-winner each. Keepers Ashton Shields and Abbey Saddler continue to push the Mocs shutout pace toward a school record. Shields has four on the season, two in SoCon play, with a 0.84 GAA and Saddler has three. They have combined for a 0.66 goals-against average with Saddler's dipping down to 0.46 after her third shutout over the weekend.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs enter the matchup against the Bears with an overall record of 6-2-5 and 3-0-1 in SoCon play. Taylor Yount has a team-high 15 points as she scored seven goals and dished out one assist. Her seven goals are also a team-high. Kyla Reynolds is second on the team with four goals. Caroline Orman and Reynolds are tied with a team-high two game-winning goals. McAslan Morgan leads the Bulldogs in goals as she has played 1229 minutes. She has 69 saves on the season and a goal against average of 1.10. The Bulldogs have tallied six shutouts this season, which is tied for the second-most in the SoCon.
