MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse team plays host to Cleveland State Saturday, March 2. Start time is set for 1 p.m. (ET) at Five Star Stadium on the Mercer campus.

Mercer leads the series 1-0. The Bears edged the Vikings 10-9 in overtime last season (2/13/18) on Cleveland State's home field. Mercer's Michael Quinn tallied the winning goal in OT to seal the victory for the Bears.

Michael Quinn and Will McCarthy have scored four goals apiece. Ashton Wood has picked up a team-high 11 ground balls … Coach Kyle Hannan is in his seventh season with the Bears.Â

Cleveland State is in its third season competing at the NCAA Division I level. The Vikings have competed against one of the nation's toughest schedules so far this season. Cleveland State has dropped close decisions to #15 Ohio State (12-9); #20 Michigan (10-8); and #8 Denver (16-8). The Vikings' win came against Bellarmine (17-8) … Tristen Hanna leads the Vikings with 10 goals and three assists for a total of 13 points. Michael Wilson has recorded three goals with 10 assists while Jason Sullivan has netted five goals and three assists … Coach Dylan Sheridan was named head coach in 2015 and led the Vikings in their inaugural season of 2017.
