Bears looking for second straight win
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse team will continue Southern Conference play this Saturday, March 30 against Bellarmine at 1:30 p.m. at Five Star Stadium.

The Bears walk into the contest with a 1-7, 1-1 SoCon record. Saturday's match will be streamed on the SoCon Digital Network.

ABOUT THE BEARS
Mercer picked up its first win of the season last weekend, defeating VMI, 16-8, in Lexington, Va. Freshman Ashton Wood had a big performance for the Bears and earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week honors. Wood leads Mercer with 68 face offs won and 31 groundballs.

Mercer's offense looks to Michael Quinn and Sean Goldsmith who have combined for 24 goals and 14 assists. Josh Tarver defends the pipes for the Bears, recording 92 saves this season while averaging a .544 save percentage.

SCOUTING BELLARMINE
Bellarmine is winless in eight contests this year, including two SoCon defeats to Jacksonville (11-8) and Richmond (16-9). The Knights look to Riley Seay to lead their offense, who has totaled 19 goals this season. Jordan Dondoyano has seen action between the pipes in seven games, garnering six starts. The goalie records 101 saves this season and a .526 save percentage.
