MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse team travels northward for a pair of road games this week, facing the University of Delaware on Wednesday, March 6 and Mount St. Mary's on Friday, March 8.

Series History vs. Delaware
The series is tied 1-1. Delaware defeated Mercer 14-2 in 2012 at Delaware while Mercer turned the tables with a 10-8 victory in 2018 at Delaware.

Series History vs. Mount St. Mary's
Mount St. Mary's leads the series 1-0, claiming a 12-9 victory over the Bears in 2018 in a game played at Emittsburg, Md.

Bear Tracks
Mercer is seeking it first win of the season. The Bears lost to #14 ranked North Carolina 20-9 in Atlanta on Feb. 2; dropped a 13-9 decision Feb. 9 at the University of Utah; lost their home opener 13-10 Feb. 16 to Canisius and were defeated 12-8 by Cleveland State on March 2 in Macon … Sean Goldsmith is Mercer's top scorer with 12 points, coming on six goals and six assists. Pascal Coombs has six goals and four assists for 10 points and Michael Quinn has tallied nine points on six goals and three assists … Michael O'Brien and Ashton Wood have each picked up 12 ground balls … Bradley Hodoval and Josh Tarver have split time in the goal for the Bears … Coach Kyle Hannan is in his seventh season at Mercer.

Scouting Delaware
Delaware is one of the most storied programs in the country, with five NCAA Final Four appearances to its credit … The Blue Hens are 4-1 on the season, with their lone loss (17-9) coming to 10th-ranked Villanova on March 2 … Charlie Kitchen and Dean DiSimone lead the offensive attack with 10 goals apiece. Kitchen has eight assists and is the team's leading scorer with 18 points … Zach Strassner has picked up 17 ground balls … Matt DeLuca handles the goal position for the Blue Hens and sports a fine .654 save percentage … Coach Ben DeLuca is in his second season as head coach.

Scouting Mount St. Mary's
Mount St. Mary's is 1-4 on the year, having defeated VMI 12-6 in its most recent outing on March 2 … Chris DiPretoro leads the Mount in scoring with 13 points (10 goals/3 assists) followed by Joe Bethke who has 12 points (9 goals/3 assists) … Sam Stephan has netted 40 ground balls … Dylan Furnback has played the entire time in goal and has a .495 save percentage … Veteran coach Tom Gravante is in his 24^th season with the Mount and has built one of the Northeast's strongest programs.
