Mercer to Introduce Gary at Press Conference Wednesday

Mercer's new head coach will be introduced at noon in Hawkins Arena
MACON, Ga. – Mercer University will introduce Greg Gary as its new men's basketball head coach at a press conference at noon on Wednesday, April 3 in Hawkins Arena.

Gary was named Mercer's new men's basketball head coach on March 26. Bears fans are invited to attend the introductory press conference for Gary. Doors to Hawkins Arena will open at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning with the press conference beginning shortly after at noon. A reception will be held following the conclusion of the press conference.

Fans should enter the arena via Heritage Hall through the main entrance of the University Center. Parking will be available in the upper- and middle-level lots of the University Center as well as the parking lot behind OrthoGeorgia Park's (baseball) right field wall.

Gary joins the Mercer family after spending the last eight years as an assistant coach at Purdue, where he helped lead the Boilermakers to six NCAA Tournament appearances – including an Elite Eight trip this year and two Sweet 16 berths in 2017 and 2018 – as well as two Big Ten Conference regular season titles in 2017 and 2019.
Fans who are unable to attend the press conference can view it live via Mercer University's YouTube channel. A full transcription of the press conference will be available on MercerBears.com.
