
Mercer Falls to Samford in Regular Season Finale

Bears drops home match, 4-3
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team fell to Samford, 4-3, in a Southern Conference regular season finale at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center on Saturday.
Olivier Stuart completed an undefeated sweep of the league in No. 1 singles play, improving to 7-0 with a straight-sets (6-3, 6-0) victory over Samford's Rossouw Norval. Mercer ended the regular season at 10-14 overall and 3-3 in conference action.
After dropping the doubles point, Mercer rallied with three consecutive wins in singles play on courts one, four and six; Carver Arant and Fernando Guardia joined Stuart with straight-set wins. Samford would rally, however, claiming the final three matches on courts three, five and two.
