Mercer’s #SoConSB Contest Moved to Friday Morning

Field conditions proved to be unplayable on Thursday night
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Inclement weather and unplayable field conditions have pushed Mercer's Southern Conference Softball Tournament elimination game against Western Carolina to Friday morning, league officials announced Thursday night.

The game – which was originally set to be played at Jim Frost Stadium at 8 p.m. (ET) Thursday night – will now start at 9 a.m. (ET) on Friday.

In an attempt to play the game on Thursday night, the contest was moved from Jim Frost Stadium to an auxiliary field in the area before it was determined that field conditions were unplayable.

The fourth-seeded Bears won two of three games over No. 7-seeded Western Carolina at Sikes Field in Macon earlier this season. Stay tuned to MercerBears.com and SoConSports.com for further information on the tournament.
