Softball Signs Transfer Bree Comer

Comer spent the last two seasons at USC Upstate

MACON, Ga. – Mercer head softball coach Stephanie DeFeo announced the signing of Bree Comer, a former infielder at USC Upstate, Thursday morning.

"We are excited to have Bree join our Bear Softball family," said DeFeo. "She is a dynamic player with a lot of versatility. She's an extremely hard worker and will give us some depth in the infield."

The Gray, Ga., native comes to Mercer after a couple of seasons with the Spartans – playing in 10 games over that span. She batted 3-for-6 (.500) in pinch-hitting roles in 2019, tallying an RBI and a double in the process. A product of Jones County High School, Comer was a three-sport athlete in high school lettering in softball, basketball and golf for the Greyhounds.
