Mercer off to best start in program history after 2-0 win
MACON, Ga.  – Amaya Evans and Nicole Icen scored a goal each to lead Mercer to a 2-0 win over Georgia State Friday night at Betts Stadium. Mercer improved to 5-1 on the season – the best start in the program's recorded history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Amaya Evans put the Bears on the board first with an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute. Three minutes later, freshman Nicole Icen followed suit and shot one in the back of the net in the 25th minute. Icen recorded her fourth goal of the season while Evans recorded her second. The Bears defense held the Panthers to two shots on goal, Jordyn Ebert saving both.
