JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Madeline Alharmra and Amaya Evans led the Bears to a 3-0 win over Jacksonville State Sunday night. Mercer improves their best starting record in program history to 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior Madeline Alharmra put the Bears on the board first with back-to-back goals- the first in the 8^th minute and the second in the 13^th minute. Freshman Amaya Evans added to the score late in the first half with three minutes to go. Payton Jamieson started in her first match of the season, recording five saves. Jordyn Ebert also had two saves to help combine for the third shutout of the season.

NOTABLES

Junior Madeline Alharmra led the Bears in goals in tonight's match, scoring her first two goals of the season.
Freshman Amaya Evans adds another goal to her weekend, totaling to two.
Payton Jamiseon started in her first match of the sesaon, recording 5 saves.

UP NEXT
The Bears will head to Evansville, Ind. to battle against the Evansville Aces on Friday Sept. 20. The match will be broadcast on ESPN.
