Mercer Lands Ashlyn Donner for Spring 2021

Ashlyn Donner played at Chipola College last season
MACON, Ga. – Mercer Softball Head Coach Stephanie DeFeo has announced the signing of transfer Ashlyn Donner on Friday.
Donner will arrive in Macon for the 2021 spring semester and will be eligible to play for the Bears immediately.
"We are so excited to welcome Ashlyn to our Mercer Softball family," said DeFeo. "She is a dynamic pitcher with incredible movement and will be a great addition to our current pitching staff. With her skill and competitive nature, we believe she will make an immediate impact for our program this spring."

Honors and Accolades
- Pitched for head coach Jimmy Hendrix at Chipola College last season.
- Documented a 9-2 record in 12 starts for the Indians.
- Boasted a 2.59 ERA with two complete games and a shutout.
- Struck out 43 hitters while issuing just seven walks in 56.2 innings of work.
- Lettered three years at New Ulm High School for head coach Kristi Andersen-Loose.
- Three-sport athlete who also played volleyball and basketball.
- Graduated a perfect 4.0 GPA and was a member of the National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa.
- Named the All-Journal Player of the Year as a senior.
- Earned Minnesota AAA All-State First Team while also landing on the All-Section, All-Conference, State All-Star and All-State Academic teams.
- Posted a 20-3 record with a 0.71 ERA as a senior.
- Tossed 10 shutouts and two no hitters in 2019.
- Played travel ball with the Minnesota Sting for coach Kayla Hatting.
