Goldsmith Named to Tewaaraton Award Final Watch List

MACON, Ga. – Mercer men's lacrosse sophomore Sean Goldsmith was named to the final watch list for the Tewaaraton Award. He was also named an honorable mention for the Maverick Media All-Americans team.

The Jamestown, N.C., native finished the short season with 34 goals, 42 points, and eight assists. Goldsmith led the nation in goals per game with 4.86. He set a career high and tied a Mercer and Southern Conference high seven goals twice. He set the milestone against Wagner on February 29, and then again four days later against St. Bonaventure.

The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
