Schwartz's hard work and dedication to the program propelled her into the starting lineup last season when she started 49 of 56 games at third base. She set career highs in hits (27), doubles (3), RBI (13), walks (13) and runs scored (12) as a junior.
To start her senior season, Schwartz hit .269 (7-for-26) with two home runs, four RBI, four walks and two runs scored. She posted a perfect 3-for-3 performance with a solo home run against Dayton at the Mercer Invitational on Feb. 8 on the opening weekend.

Coach's Thoughts
"Amanda took a chance on Mercer coming all the way from California, remarked head coach Stephanie DeFeo. "She developed into a great third baseman and hitter. Her ability to help us in the infield in two different positions was vital this year."
