Mercer wins, 77-68, against Georgia Southern

MACON, Ga. – Coach Greg Gary and the Bears defeat the Eagles of Georgia Southern, 77-68. Mercer is now on a 5-0 run and continue their winning streak against in-state foes to 4-0. The Eagles at the start of today's game were the highest net-ranked team in Georgia.

Mercer (7-4) had Felipe Haase tally 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting with five rebounds as well. Jalen Johnson had 15 points and six rebounds for the Orange & Black. James Glisson III added 14 points while going 6-6 at the charity stripe. Kamar Robertson had 11 points and came up strong on the defensive end with six steals.

Georgia Southern (5-4) had Elijah McCadden with 14 points for the Eagles as did Kamari Brown on a 3-for-11 FG performance. Brown also grabbed nine rebounds on the day. Andrei Savrasov had 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting.
