Twitter Updates: @MercerMBB  LAST TIME OUT/NEXT UP The Bears are coming off their third consecutive win and third overall win at Hawkins against GSU, 83-77. The third season of the Greg Gary era moves to 5-4 on the 2021-2022 season and looks to continue its winning streak in Conway.Felipe Haase, Neftali Alvarez, and Jalen Johnson have collectively accounted for 59 percent of all Bears scoring this season, although that number has slipped as of late to 48 percent over the last five times out. Two big names in the forward position will be present in Conway. Felipe Haase and the Bears will take on Essam Mostafa and Coastal Carolina. Haase is averaging 11.6 points over the last five games. Mostafa, a redshirt-sophomore, has scored 23 percent of CCU's points this season and is averaging 15.4 over his last five games. Interestingly enough, Mostafa was held to just four points in their most recent matchup against Winthrop.Â

SERIES HISTORY
This series is relatively new as far as games played, while the Bears and Chanticleers are set at 1-2Â with CCU on top.
SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
Rudi Williams has either made or assisted on 46 percent of all Coastal Carolina's field goals over the last three games. Williams has accounted for 24 field goals and 12 assists in that same span. The bears will look to guard the perimeter as well against CCU as Vince Cole has attempted 37 3-pointers so far. Cole has connected on 24.3 percent of them and is 5 for 28 over the past five games. Just the like Mercer, Coastal Carolina has won its last three home games while scoring an average of 85 points. Furthermore, Coastal Carolina has committed a turnover on just 16.4 percent of its possessions this season, which is the second-lowest percentage among the entire Sun Belt. However, they haven't played against Robertson, Tucker, or Neftali yet. The Bears like their chances tomorrow as the Orange and Black record 2 more steals, shoot .031 percent better from the field, .062 percent from behind the arc, and have 2.7 more assists per game. While also allowing 2 less rebounds to their opponents per game than CCU.Â
